At Jefferson Bank, we make the privacy of our customers’ information a top priority. This SMS and MMS Text Messaging Policy applies to your use of the text message banking services ("Service") provided by Jefferson Bank ("Bank," "we," "us," or "our") and Jefferson Bank affiliates, including, without limitation, 1900 Wealth. By providing your mobile number, you ("Customer," "you," or "your") expressly agree to comply with the terms of this Service. Your consent shall remain in effect until you revoke it. Your consent will be effective regardless of any registration with any state or federal Do Not Call list or other comparable list or registry. PLEASE NOTE: SMS and MMS text messaging consent is not shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes.
You should also review our Privacy Policy and Our Website Terms & Conditions, which more broadly governs Bank’s handling of your personal information and applies to your use of this Service as well.
Personal Information Collected
Through the use of the Service, the Bank will receive the following information from our service provider:
- Your mobile phone number when you send a text message (SMS messages) to us
- The text messages that you send to other users of the Service
Description of Service
The Service allows you to receive account information, transaction alerts, and other banking-related messages via SMS to your registered mobile device. Available features may include, but are not limited to, balance inquiries, recent transaction history, account alerts (e.g., low balance, deposit notifications) and funds transfers (if applicable).
Terms and Conditions
- By providing your mobile number on a web form or other medium, you expressly agree that Jefferson Bank may send you periodic SMS or MMS messages containing but not limited to important information, concerning products, services, offers, promotions, marketing and transactions as well as your relationship with Jefferson Bank.
- Each time you send SMS or MMS messages to the Bank, you affirm your agreement to these Terms and Conditions and to our SMS and MMS Text Messaging Policy. You also represent that you are the owner or authorized user or subscriber of the phone number and wireless device that you are using to receive text messages or on behalf of the Bank.
- We reserve the right to, and from time to time may, revise these SMS and MMS Terms and Conditions, the SMS and MMS Text Messaging Privacy Policy and/or the Bank’s general Privacy Policy.
- When you provide information to us, you agree to provide accurate, complete and true information. Messaging records may be maintained as required by federal law and other regulatory bodies.
- We will never send you a message asking you to provide or confirm personal details or confidential information, such as passwords, social security numbers, or account numbers. Do not reply to any message requesting such personal details or confidential information. Please immediately report any such message to us at (210) 734-4311.
- The Bank messaging frequency to you may vary. If at any time you determine the frequency of messaging to be excessive, you may immediately opt out of the Service.
- We are not responsible for any delays, undelivered messages, or interruptions due to mobile carrier issues.
- Message and data rates may apply. We do not charge for using the Service, but standard messaging and data rates may apply as determined by your mobile carrier. You are responsible for any fees imposed by your carrier.
- We may suspend or terminate the Service if the Bank has reason to believe you are in breach of these Terms and Conditions. We may also discontinue these Services at any time, at our discretion, with no liability.
- You agree to indemnify, defend and hold the Bank harmless from any third-party claims, liability, damages or costs arising from your use of the Services or the provision of a phone number that is not your phone number.
- You agree that we are not responsible for unauthorized access to your messages, service interruptions, or errors beyond our control. The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.
- You may unsubscribe at any time by replying with the word STOP to any text message from us.
Enrollment and Eligibility
To use the Service, you must:
- Have an eligible account with JEFFERSON BANK.
- Register a valid mobile phone number with us.
- Agree to these terms and any applicable service fees.
- Be 18 years or older. The Service is not intended for children under 13 and the Bank does not knowingly collect information from children under the age of 13. Children aged 13 or older should not submit Personal Information without permission from the child’s parents or guardians. By using the Service, you are representing that you are at least 18 years old or that you are at least 13 years old and have your parents’ permission to use the Service.
Opt-Out and Cancellation
You may opt out of the Service at any time by replying STOP to any text message from us. We reserve the right to send you certain communications relating to the Service, such as announcements and administrative messages, without offering you the opportunity to opt-out of receiving them.
Data Security
The Bank is committed to maintaining the security of your information. [When you send information to us using the Internet, we use TLS (Transport Layer Security) or SSL (Secure Socket Layer) protocols to secure the transmission of information that you send to us via messaging.] Once we receive information, we store and protect it using reasonable efforts, consistent with industry standards, to protect the information you provide from unauthorized access and use, and in compliance with federal law.
Changes to This Agreement
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be communicated via text message, email, or our website.
